He Will Harden You to Difficulty

By: Joel Osteen

He Will Harden You to Difficulty

Today's Scripture

"Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice" (Isaiah 41:10, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

It's easy to look around at what's happening in the earth today and be tempted to feel afraid or dismayed. Circumstances may seem overwhelming. Maybe your business is struggling, maybe you lost your job, maybe you're struggling in a relationship or concerned about the economy. During times like these, it's important to remember that God has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. In fact, not only is He with us, He has promised to strengthen us and harden us to difficulties. That means, when tough times come, they just bounce right off of you. You don't allow your circumstances to steal your peace and joy. You have the attitude that says, "This may be a big problem, but my God is bigger!"

Keep in mind that the enemy isn't after your checkbook; he's ultimately after your peace and joy. He knows that if he can get your joy then he can get your strength. But when you stay connected to the Father through prayer and studying the Word and declare His promises over your life, you'll be hardened to difficulties and stay safe in the palm of God's hand!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for Your precious promises. I renounce fear today and choose to trust that You have a plan of victory in store for me. Thank You for filling me with Your peace and joy and staying close to me all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Container of Light

By: Yehuda Berg

Thursday, February 26

How do you drink your coffee? From a cup.

It's the same with the energy, or light, of the Creator. In order for it to be revealed in this world, there must be a vessel.

On a simple level, every positive action we do creates a container for the Light to be revealed, and every negative action tears it down. Whether or not there is a vessel, the Light is always present; this is important to remember.

Build a strong vessel today by doing as many thoughtful, loving actions you can think of.

Awakening the Light

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kabbalah considers the greatest tool for facilitating personal and global transformation to be the Zohar, written by Rav Shimon Bar Yochai 2000 years ago.

The Zohar (Book of Splendor) is a spiritual text that is in a category of its own. Its power does not depend on understanding or belief. Rather, it is imbued in the Zohar's every word and letter. Simply scanning its pages — allowing your eyes to pass over the words and letters — opens a direct connection to the Creator's Light.

What's more, just being in the presence of a Zohar creates an impenetrable shield of spiritual protection against evil and chaos. As witnessed in this month's update.

The Zohar is a 2000-year-old master key that unlocks all the secrets of the Bible. More importantly, The Zohar also transmits the very awesome spiritual forces that it speaks about. It deals directly with concepts of healing, the origins of the human soul, the presence of unseen influences in our lives and the methodologies for harnessing the hidden spiritual forces in our midst.

For example, this very beautiful passage talks about the power of forgiveness.

Naturally, the Zohar can be extremely difficult to understand, but that makes no difference, because we are not reading it for the wisdom, the information, we are reading it for the connection to the Light. The experience of reading an ordinary book or article is exactly what it seems: We're just reading. But studying and reading The Zohar awakens the very energies we're reading about.

When we study a passage concerning mercy, for example, that aspect of the Creator's Light is awakened in ourselves and even in the world as a whole. We become more merciful, more forgiving, which in turn elicits the quality of mercy from others. When we scan the Zohar's passages dealing with judgment, we gain the power to remove judgments placed upon us, while also erasing our own judgmental tendencies.

Imagine this: You meet a friend for lunch, and she shows you an old photo. It's a picture of a husband and wife taken in a foreign land many years ago. At first, you might be mildly interested in the picture, but the strange clothes, the poor lighting, and your lack of connection to the two people would make it difficult for you to be deeply moved by the photo.

Just to be polite, you might compliment your friend on the antique she's found, and then hand the picture back to her. "But wait!" she might say. "Aren't you totally enthralled by this photograph? Don't you feel a huge surge of emotion when you look at it?"

"Well, no," you'd reply, trying to be patient with your friend.

"Why should I feel anything about it at all? I don't know these two people, so I can't relate to them. I don't know where the picture was taken, so I don't feel connected to it. I really don't know anything about what's happening in this picture. Why should I care about it?"

"Well, suppose I told you that someone devoted a lot of time and effort to finding this photo for you. You see, the people in the picture are your great-great-grandparents, who lived more than a hundred years ago."

At this point there's no doubt your attitude toward the picture would change. It would be the same photo as before, but you'd look at the people in the photo in a whole new way. You'd find any slight resemblance to yourself or to your parents. You'd wonder where these people had lived, how they'd met, how they'd made their living, and perhaps how they died.

Above and beyond questions like this, you would undoubtedly have a strong emotional reaction to the picture. Powerful feelings would suddenly be ignited in your heart, perhaps unlike any you'd ever had before. For the rest of your life, you would always remember this picture and the circumstances under which you first saw it. Yet just a moment earlier, it would have seemed utterly forgettable. There would have appeared to have been no reason to get excited about it.

For most people, the Zohar is much like the photograph I've just described. At first, it can seem remote and even forbidding in its strangeness and complexity. But the purpose of this article is to let you know, simply and directly, that at the deepest level of your soul, there is a profound connection between the Zohar and who you are.

The more you study the Zohar, the better you will grasp what this means. But right now, even if you don't completely understand it, I hope you will let yourself experience the connection with the Zohar that already exists within you. Open yourself to this power, and it will be there for you.

God's Light is like a bottomless well, unlimited in the amount of water it can provide. Our consciousness is like a vessel, a receiving entity that is also boundless. The larger this vessel becomes, the more water we can draw from the well. The higher our level of consciousness, the more Light we receive.

Our task is to open ourselves more and more to the Light by expanding the volume of our spiritual vessel. Toward this end, studying and meditating upon the pages of the Zohar is vitally important. What's more, this should be done not only in translation but in the original language, as well, even if you don't "understand" a single word.

Since the kabbalists teach that simply having the Zohar in your home brings connection with the Creator's Light, reading, meditating, or scanning the pages can be even more powerful—even if you encounter something outside your comprehension.

Once again, the reason for this lies in the fact that the Zohar is much more than just a book of wisdom. The Zohar is an energy source. It's a means of accessing the divine Light that resides in the soul of every human being. Any connection with the Zohar brings Light. The deeper your connection, the greater the revelation of Light will be.

We know you got tired of lugging around all 23 volumes….

SACRED ZOHAR

When Michael Berg first completed the English translation of the Zohar, now over ten years ago, he solved the first part of a major dilemma faced by kabbalists for generations - how to get this wisdom into the minds of people around the world.

When he spearheaded the printing of the Sacred Zohar last year, a special edition, all-23-volumes-condensed into one thick 1,800 page volume (Aramaic only), he solved the second part of a major dilemma faced by kabbalists for generations – how to get this wisdom into the hands of people around the world.

As the Sages of Kabbalah have been saying for 2,000 years, simply possessing this wisdom, the actual pages and letters, has the power to cast a sort of spiritual safety net over you and protect you from danger.

Sounds a little out there, we know. And yet, over the last 40 years, since the Kabbalah Centre first undertook the mission of disseminating this once hidden book, miracle stories big and small have continued to flood through our doors every month.

We invite you to read a few here:
http://www.kabbalah.com/newsletters/2009_06pisces/english/believe.php?cid=nl20090225h

We hope you will consider bringing a Sacred Zohar into your life. Good for the home or office, or both. And we invite you to join our Zohar Project by donating a Sacred Zohar to a local fire department, hospital or any public facility that could use protection and some “good energy.”

Ascend

By: Joel Osteen

Ascend

Today's Scripture

"Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation" (Psalm 24:3-5, NKJ)).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Did you know that you are meant to rise high in heavenly place? You are meant to stand with God in His Holy place? But notice that in order to ascend, we have to make sure we have clean hands and a pure heart. How do we do that? First of all, only the blood of Jesus can make us clean and new. Once we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, we have to choose every day to stand against the contaminating forces of the enemy that would try to hold us down.

It all starts in our thought life. We have to guard our thoughts by guarding what we allow to influence our thoughts. We can't just watch any old thing on TV. We can't just listen to any old conversation. We have to make sure that what we allow into our minds is pleasing to the Lord because what we allow into our minds will eventually filter into our hearts. If we are going to ascend, we have to have higher thoughts; we have to have a higher way of living. Choose today to ascend so that you can partake of the blessing the Lord has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, today I choose higher thoughts. I choose higher living. Help me to guard my heart and mind so that I can live a life that is pleasing to You. I bless You today and always. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Kabbalists Spell Holy with a W

By: Yehuda Berg

Wednesday, February 25

Kabbalists spell holy with a W.

The world is one complete whole and we are connected to each other through the spark of the Creator that exists within us all. If we harm others, we are in fact harming ourselves. Mistreating another person is like sticking a finger into an electric socket. There are repercussions attached to our every word and deed. That is why sharing acts towards others are always in our best interests.

Turn this awareness on today. See the whole picture. In moments of conflict, treat others with respect and consideration. This is what it means to be holy.

He Makes All things New

By: Joel Osteen

He Makes All things New

Today's Scripture

"…and He who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new…" (Revelation 21:5, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He puts a promise on the inside, He deposits within you everything you need to accomplish that dream. He wouldn't give you the desire to do something without giving you the ability to fulfill it. In fact, the scripture tells us that God gives us the desires of our heart. In other words, He puts the desire inside of us and then works with us to bring it to pass.

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their dreams, but they face a setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed. But let me tell you today, no matter where you've come from, no matter what's happened in your past, God wants to make you new. He wants to give you a "do over," a fresh start. If you feel like you've missed opportunities in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember, today is a new day. You are a new person, and God has new opportunities in store for you. If one dream has died, it's time to dream a new dream.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for making all things new. I give You this day and invite You to have Your way in every area of my life. I choose to receive all the promises You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Minus the Calculations

By: Yehuda Berg

Tuesday, February 24

Many times we want to give conditionally and yet expect others to give us unconditionally. The universe doesn't work that way. When we calculate our sharing, we end up with people who do the same to us.

Find one way your sharing is limited. Let go of your expectations and just give. That's how you can attract more unconditional people into your life.

Love So Amazing

By: Joel Osteen

Love So Amazing

Today's Scripture

"Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:39, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Isn't it wonderful to know that nothing can separate us from the Love of God? His love is truly amazing. It goes beyond any human love we could ever know. There's nothing we can do to make Him love us more, and there is nothing we can do to make Him love us any less. His love is everlasting.

Oftentimes, when people make mistakes or feel that they have disappointed God, they think they have to stay away from Him until they "get their act together" so to speak. But nothing could be further from the truth! He's always there with open arms, ready to receive you and make you new. Remember, God's not mad at you; He's madly in love with you! You are on His mind day and night. His thoughts are precious towards you.

If there is anything in your life that is keeping you from receiving His amazing love, choose to set those things aside today. Let His love restore you and make you new. Simply come to Him with an open heart and receive everything He has in store for you

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank You for receiving me and making me new by the precious blood of Jesus. I love You. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Have Your Learned Your Lesson Yet?

By: Yehuda Berg

Monday, February 23

For the last two days I've been explaining the role difficult people play in your life. Here is one more point that is perhaps the greatest incentive to own up to your reactions: The Light will continue sending you the same challenges until you've learned your lesson.

The sooner you accept these situations, and get to the root of what they're about, the sooner the Light will stop sending you them.

Tonight, before falling asleep, think about your interactions today and how they made you feel. Understand that the discomfort was the universe helping you learn your lesson. And know that the universe will continue to give you that pain until you can look at it and accept that it's about your growth, not the other person or situation.

An Exceptional Future

By: Joel Osteen

An Exceptional Future

Today's Scripture

"The path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day…" (Proverbs 4:18, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

We all face challenges. We all have obstacles to overcome. But if we can keep the right perspective, it will help us to stay in faith so that we can move forward into victory. You may feel right now like the challenges that you face are too big, or too overwhelming. One thing I've learned is that average people have average problems. Ordinary people have ordinary challenges. But remember, you're not average. You're not ordinary. You are extraordinary. God breathed His life into you. You are exceptional, and exceptional people face exceptional difficulties. But the good news is we serve an exceptional God! When you have an incredible problem, instead of being discouraged, you should be encouraged knowing that you're an incredible person and you have an incredible future. Your path is shining brighter and brighter.

Be encouraged today because your life is on an extraordinary path. Keep standing in faith, keep declaring victory over your future, keep declaring the promises of God over your life. Keep declaring that you are moving forward into the bright, exceptional future that the Lord has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, today I lift my eyes to You. I know that You are the One who helps me and has given me an extraordinary future. I choose to stand in faith today knowing that You have a wonderful plan in store for me! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Mt. Sinai Moment

By: Yehuda Berg
February 22 — 28

Do you have satellite radio? Know someone who does?

This Wednesday at 6:00 – 7:00 PM EST (3:00 – 4:00 PM PST), I’m launching my new radio call-in show:

Yehuda Berg and Friends
Sirius 102
XM 155
XM Stars
This week’s friend: Ashton Kutcher
Call in number: (888) 410-2102

I will be addressing all the topics that are relevant to your life: relationships, health, spirituality, astrology, career, finances, environment, and more. Each week I will invite a thought leader or role model or celebrity onto the show to talk about a specific topic and hash it out from many sides.

As you can imagine, I’m pumped about this new opportunity, for many reasons. Over the years I have had the pleasure of communicating with many of you via email and now that this forum has presented itself, I think this is the perfect opportunity to take our communication to a deeper level.

In addition, this is a wonderful opportunity to get the message of Kabbalah into the world at a rapid-fire pace. And it’s no coincidence the show is starting this week. A couple of week’s back, the Zohar portion was about Moses and his revelation atop Mt. Sinai. For those of you who don’t know, the Zohar says the revelation was not only heard by those gathered at the foot of the mountain, but in fact it was received by the entire world.

Every single one of us has our own Mt. Sinai! Whether we know it or not, the potential exists to talk to millions of people.

For me, this new talk show is a Mt. Sinai moment. I invite you to be part of it by blogging, facebooking, emailing, twittering (and whatever new networking device is out there that I haven’t yet heard about) your friends and inviting them to tune in. This is a perfect way to introduce new people to this wisdom without clobbering them over the head.

Again, for all you long time readers, and those who are new to the wisdom, please tune and call in. I would love to hear from you. And I know that all the effort you put into making this show a success will lead you towards awakening into your own Mt. Sinai moment.

All the best,

Yehuda

72 Name of the Week

I take this Name with me out into the real world so I can share the Light with friends, family, and the entire family of humankind. I envisage openings and opportunities in the world for the global dissemination of this ancient wisdom. I ask for the strength to walk the talk. I know that this Name arouses the forces of immortality and joy in the world. I must expect and demand nothing less.

What Is the Lesson?!

By: Yehuda Berg

Sunday, February 22

Yesterday's message brings up a lot of questions. Once we accept that difficult people are sent into our lives by the Light to help us make our correction, it can send our minds reeling in a million and one directions.

How do we know just what the lesson is?!

Focus on your reaction and you will figure it out. The restriction involved in not blaming or hurting or running away from others will reveal Light, giving you greater clarity.

Today, remember step 2 of the Proactive Formula taught in Power of Kabbalah Level 1: the reaction is the enemy, not the other person.

Thorn in My Side

By: Yehuda Berg

Saturday, February 21

Your soul is on a multi-lifetime journey of correction. The difficult people you encounter are sent to help you complete this journey. Meaning, every difficult interaction is supposed to strengthen and teach you something.

That annoying colleague you wish would be transferred? He's in your life for this purpose. That overbearing in-law you wish would move to another state? She's in your life for this purpose. Every single human who crosses your path, from your mom to your landlord, are here for this purpose of helping you learn and grow.

Today, change the way you see the "annoying people." Instead of avoiding them, or hating them, ask, "What are they teaching me?"

Do It With Joy

By: Yehuda Berg

Friday, February 20

"The more he feels joy and inner satisfaction, the more he will merit the supernal Light. And if he should persevere with this effort, then there is no doubt that the Holy Spirit will rest upon him."

- Letter from Rav Brandwein to Rav Berg, March 29th, 1965

Today, whatever you do, do it with joy.

Reign in Life

By: Joel Osteen

Reign in Life

Today's Scripture

"For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)" (Romans 5:17, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

It says here in Romans 5:17, "We are to reign in life as kings." When God looks at us, He doesn't see us in weak, defeated, leftover positions. Not at all. God sees you and me as rulers, as royalty. We have His royal blood flowing through our veins. You and I are supposed to reign. Do you know what that word "reign" means? It means "your time in power." God said we're to reign "in life." That means as long as you're alive that is your time in power. You don't have a two-year term like the Mayor or a four-year term like the President. Your term is to rule and reign every single day, to be victorious, to rise to new levels, to accomplish great things.

Everyone has days when they don't feel like royalty, they don't feel powerful. On those days, if you can just remember to reach down and check your pulse, and as long as you feel something beating, you can say, "It's still my time to reign!" Let that be a reminder to put on a new attitude. And sometimes you have to do this by faith. By faith you need to walk like a king, talk like a king, think like a king, dress like a king, smile like a king. Don't go by what you see. Go by what you know. There is royalty in your DNA. You have the blood of a champion, and you were created to reign in life!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I choose right now to set my mind and focus on You. I choose to look for what You want to do in and through me. I let go of any wrong thinking, attitudes, or actions that would hold me back. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Believing for a Supernatural Year

By: Joel Osteen

Live Like A CHAMPION

Believing for a Supernatural Year

You might have planned on having an average year but God has already lined up an extraordinary year. You might have planned on just getting by but God is planning on abundance. He's planning on overflow.

Often times we look at situations that are happening in the natural. We might look at the economy, or our pocket book and are tempted to look at this year with a limited perspective, not really expecting much. But we have to realize God is a supernatural God. Just because we don't see a way doesn't mean God doesn't have a way. You may not see how things will work out, but all you need to respond with is, "Lord, I believe." God is directing your steps and will put the right people in your path and put you at the right place at the right time.

You may be in debt, but God says, "You're coming out. You're coming into overflow." The economy may be down but God says, "You're going to see supernatural increase, supernatural promotion" Get it in your spirit that it's going to be a supernatural year.

Decide to increase your expectancy and get into agreement with God. You're going to have some, "Who would have ever thought this could happen to me" blessings, explosive blessings that you will blast you into a whole new level. It's going to be a year where you see dreams come to pass, a year where you get stronger and healthier. It's going to be a year where you look back and say, "Wow! God outdid Himself this year!"

Keep It Simple: Light & Dark

By: Yehuda Berg

Thursday, February 19

Life appears complicated, but it's not. We complicate our own lives. We create chaos out of order. We mess things up, continually making matters worse because we just don't understand what life is about or how it works.

The first thing we need to understand is that life is as simple as darkness and Light. I am not speaking metaphorically when I say Light. Only two things exist in this world: darkness and Light. Life appears complicated because darkness has a nearly endless variety of shades, and Light comes in countless colors.

Nonetheless, at the heart of all that exists, you will either find darkness or Light.

Today, put your tasks and thoughts into two columns: darkness and light. At the end of the day, see what you can do to eliminate those things that fall into the 'darkness' category. And do less 'darkness' tomorrow.

Look What He's Doing

By: Joel Osteen

Look What He's Doing

Today's Scripture

"If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed" (Proverbs 29:18, Message).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

God wants His people to be the most blessed! He wants His people to constantly increase so they can live as an example of His goodness. But, in order to partake of everything He has in store for us, we have to be open to what He wants to do in our lives. We have to have a vision for increase. If you're not expecting favor, or if you just get satisfied with where you are, then you will live below your privileges. But if you will get a vision for increase, a vision for who you are as a child of the Most High God and what He wants to do in your life, you'll see supernatural opportunities, favor, and increase in your life. Notice what the scripture tells us when we look for what God is doing; you won't just be "average" blessed or "good enough" blessed. No, as a child of the Most High, you are entitled to be the most blessed!

I encourage you, today, to take time to focus your thoughts on God and His promises. Meditate on His Word and ask Him to increase your capacity to receive all the blessings He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I choose right now to set my mind and focus on You. I choose to look for what You want to do in and through me. I let go of any wrong thinking, attitudes, or actions that would hold me back. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

See the Future in the Present

By: Yehuda Berg

Wednesday, February 18

When something triggers a reaction within you, it's almost impossible not to react. Simply telling you not to react is not always enough motivation. But thinking about cause and effect usually does the trick.

Today, when you are about to indulge in some reactive behavior, think about how you will feel five minutes, five days, or five months down the road. Learn to see the future in the present moment, and you will have the impetus you need to change your behavior here and now.

A New Way of Thinking

By: Joel Osteen

A New Way of Thinking

Today's Scripture

"And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins" (Mark 2:22, NKJ).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Are you ready for increase? Are you ready to go to the next level, spiritually, physically, and emotionally? In this passage of scripture, Jesus is basically saying that you can’t go to a new level with an old way of thinking. Many people hear the truth that God has more in store and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God, but often times, the natural mind will try to talk them out of it. Thoughts will come like, "It's not going to happen for you. You’re not going to have a great year. You know what the economy is like." Or, "You're never going to get well. You saw what the medical report said." "You're never going to get married. You've been single so long."

Friend, those are the old wineskins that you have to get rid of. This is a new season. What's happened in the past is over and done. You may have been through some disappointments, you may have tried and failed, or things didn't work out. That's okay. God is still in control. It's time to get a new vision for your life. It's time to open yourself to a new way of thinking so that you can receive all the blessings God has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, today I choose to get rid of old wineskins. I choose to release old thinking, old habits, and anything that would keep me from Your best. Strengthen me by Your Spirit so that I can live my life in a way that pleases You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

A Little Love

By: Yehuda Berg

Tuesday, February 17

A great kabbalist once wrote, "when a father complains that his son has taken to evil ways, what should he do? Love him more than ever."

Who do you know that needs a little extra love today?

He Satisfies You

By: Joel Osteen

He Satisfies You

Today's Scripture

"They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied" (Psalm 37:19, AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Are you expecting to have a supernatural year? Are you expecting increase and abundance? Notice this verse tells us that the righteous, those who follow God's commands, will be satisfied even in times of famine. Even when it looks like resources are slim, God has a plan to provide for His people. The scripture also tells us that God is looking for people who will be faithful to Him; people who will trust Him, people who will believe that He is the God of more than enough!

God always shows Himself strong on behalf of the people who seek Him first-even during the most difficult times. No matter what you may be facing today, God wants to show Himself strong for you. He wants to make a way where there seems to be no way. He wants to satisfy you and bless you abundantly so that you can reach out and be a blessing to the people around you. Take a step of faith today and begin to declare His promises over your life. Declare that He is the One who satisfies you all the days of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for Your faithfulness. You alone can satisfy me. Search my heart today and remove any doubt or uncertainty that would try to hold me back from the wonderful blessings You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Desire is Good

By: Yehuda Berg

Monday, February 16

Desire is good. The more of it we have, the more Light we can reveal. I am not talking about greed, I am talking about wanting the most out of life, the perfect mate, optimum health, a world where there is peace amongst neighbors, personal achievement and so on.

Today, imagine what would happen if there were no limits on what you could achieve and create.

What Are You Expecting

By: Joel Osteen

What Are You Expecting

Today's Scripture

"…Open wide your mouth and I will fill it" (Psalm 81:10, NIV).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

"Do you have your mouth open wide today?" In other words, are you expecting God to fill you and increase you beyond measure? Negative thinking closes you to what God wants to do in your life. If you go around thinking, "Well, I don't think I'll ever meet my sales goals this year with the economy like it is"; or "I don't think I'll ever get promoted. I'm not that qualified"; or "I don't think I'll ever get well", then the problem is that your mouth is barely open. But Jesus said, "According to your faith it will be done unto you." He might as well have said, "If you've got a cup, I'll fill you with a cup level of blessing. If you've got a bucket, I'll fill you with a bucket level of blessing."

Jesus is saying today, why don't you take the limits off? Why don't you believe for supernatural opportunities? Why don't you go out each day expecting increase and promotion? Expect favor, expect peace, expect joy. If you'll go out each day expecting far-and-beyond favor, if you'll "open wide your mouth", you won't be disappointed. He'll fill your cup until it overflows so that you can live the abundant life He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, I come before You today with an open and humble heart, ready to receive all You have for me. Teach me to live a life that is pleasing to You so that I can be an example of Your love in the world around me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Potential Pushers

February 15 - 21, 2009
Potential Pushers

“A true teacher understands that our soul already knows everything we could ever need to know - they're just helping reconnect that part of ourselves...”

What is a spiritual teacher?

First and foremost, a teacher is a friend, probably the most important friend you could have. Teachers are essential to our lives not because they’re so much smarter, older, or more knowledgeable about spirituality, but because they can see the heights of our potential, and they aren’t afraid to push us there.

When we feel like we’re beyond help, our teacher can boost us back up and make us see things for what they really are. They believe in us when we don’t believe in ourselves anymore.

Teachers don’t help us so we’ll love them more, but they know that they are just a channel for the Light and that the only way to truly help someone grow is to channel what is best for them. That’s why even when they tell us things that are difficult for us to hear or sometimes downright painful to realize, it can inspire us and make us feel great.

Essentially, they are simply plugging us back into the Light. A true teacher understands that our soul already knows everything we could ever need to know – they’re just helping reconnect that part of ourselves.

It’s often misunderstood why the Centre makes such a big deal about coming to classes, about connecting to a teacher. The reason is that kabbalists have known for centuries that the unconditional love from a teacher can inspire and motivate us to do things that might otherwise go undone. It unlocks our souls so we can become better Creators.

This week, strengthen your link in the chain. When was the last time you met with your teacher? Many of you reading this may not have a teacher. If you are a student at one of the Centres, speak with your local Student Coordinator about setting up a teacher meeting. If you don’t live near a Centre, then please call our student support department (1-800-KABBALAH) and find a teacher that best suits you.

Get connected this week. It makes the journey that much more rewarding.

All the best,

Yehuda
